Hey Bernard, its great to hear theres another group out there who organizes a race on the old runner sleds. Im sure we'd all be more then glad to have a giant race sometime, but the distance between us is a def. problem. If any of you happen to be visiting out this way be sure and let us know, and if any of us happen to be out that way we'll see if we could meet up somehow! Until then, Happy Sledding!!

the championship track is only about 1700 feet. But there is another 1800 ft run above it that does link up when conditions are right, and then you can keep going for another half mile below the finish line too (on good days).

There is some other excellent sliding in the area too!

After today I'm wonderin' how much more "kinda bear" it's gonna' be. Hopefully it'll be the kinda bear with a few inches of clear frozen stuff on it. ... and with a 38 degree high & sunny forcast for tomorrow, we'd better get the time trials over with early if there's to be anything left for the following weekend. An unpredictable fast and dangerous adventure indeed!

Hey notsoflexiblefyler-
Forecast calls for temps in the 20's Friday night, so even if it does rain a little bit, the time trials will go on. Right now, it is kinda bare in some places, but there is 5 inches of ice in other places.
It is going to be fast, and dangerous.
See you Saturday!

Hi David-
Forecast calls for temps in the 20's Friday night, so even if it does rain a little bit, the time trials will go on.
That said, it is going to be fast, and dangerous.
See you Saturday!

Weather forcast is looking quasi rainy with a high of 37 on time trial day. How much snow (approximate inches) is still left on the trail, and how's it been packed this year??

Unless we get a bunch of rain between now and Saturday, the races are on! No, there is not a lot of snow out there, but there is enough on the trail to make it happen. See you at the time trials on Saturday!
