Adult Day Services – TV Spot Campaign

Agency Partnership

Client: Maine Department of Health and Human Services for Burgess Advertising

Date completed: 2024

No Umbrella Media’s Role: Co-write, Film, Edit, Sound Design.

No Umbrella partnered with Burgess Advertising Creative Director Charlie Clement to write, cast, film, sound design, and edit a suite of 15 and 30 seconds spots for the Maine Department of Health and Human Services. This campaign was the first in the nation to feature Adult Day Services, which are local centers that offer seniors social and therapeutic activities outside of the home, giving caregivers a break and seniors important engagement. On time and on budget, Burgess ran this TV campaign from early fall of 2024 until the end of January 2025. They’re currently running tests to assess effectiveness of this campaign, but the early indications they’ve received note that the campaign did incredibly well in the marketplace. Greater Augusta Utility District – Website Bill Pay How-To

Animated Instructional Video

Date completed: 2023

No Umbrella Media’s Role: Storyboard, Graphics, Animation, Sound Design, Voiceover, Edit.

The goals of the Greater Augusta Utility District (GAUD) are simple: to deliver clean, safe drinking water and protect the environment. We worked with Burgess Advertising to create an animated guide to GAUD’s new web-based bill pay interface. Burgess provided a draft script, from which we created a hybrid animation and screen capture video to show users how to pay their bill. The project was on time, on budget and is still accomplishing it’s goals on the GAUD site today.

MassTown Careers – Eric Batista

Recruitment Video Series

Client: Mass Town Careers for Burgess Advertising

Date completed: 2022

No Umbrella Media’s Role: Film, Edit, Sound Design.

In a series of recruitment videos for Burgess Advertising, No Umbrella interviewed 15 municipal employees part of MassTown Careers Campaign who have found rewarding careers in different locations, doing a wide variety of things while making a real difference in the local community. After discussing the goals for the recruitment video series, we met with each individual employee in Massachusetts at their place of work to capture B-roll of their work day, and to discuss what attracted them to their careers and why they love them. From there, we invited voice actors from Burgess Advertising to record voiceover in our studio using our recording equipment. Finally, we created the sound design for the video and our team of editors edited each video and successfully delivered a series of successful recruitment videos to Burgess within their deadline and budget.

HoME Town Careers – Keegan

Recruitment Video

Client: Maine HoME Town Careers for Burgess Advertising

Date completed: 2017

No Umbrella Media’s Role: Film, Edit, Sound Design.

Whether you’re just starting out, or looking for a new career direction, you may be surprised to learn about the range of great opportunities working for Maine towns and cities. No Umbrella Media and the team at Burgess Advertising had a clear vision for this campaign to attract Maine twenty and thirty-somethings to Maine municipal jobs. We began by sitting down with Burgess to collaborate on a list of deliverables for this campaign. Ultimately, we landed on a series of video testimonials featuring millennials who told compelling stories about the rewards and benefits of municipal jobs to also be used in digital ads and an aggressive social media campaign. From there, we filmed young individuals working within Maine municipal jobs to gather B-roll and interview them about why they chose this career path and what they love about it. Next, our team edited these videos to deliver the finished campaign to Burgess within their budget and deadline. The results from the campaign were astounding. The campaign was entirely digital, allowing us to track impressions, clicks and click-through-rates (CTR). Over two flights in spring and fall of 2018, 3.1 million impressions generated nearly 4,600 clicks, resulting in a very strong CTR of .15%. The MMA and its constituents were extremely happy with the results—and Massachusetts has contacted us to explore creating a similar campaign in their state.
