The Maine Development Foundation (MDF) is a statewide driver of economic growth in Maine that looks to connect communities, innovators, and decision-makers to stimulate new ideas, solve problems, and improve lives. In 2024, MDF worked with five mill towns to obtain NBRC and MRDA grant funds to revitalize their mill buildings and ignite growth in their local economies.
For this video, MDF brought us inside these mills where we talked to the employees bringing these projects to light about the history of the mills, how they were transforming them, and what this project did to bring their communities together.
