Practical Pomology: A Field Guide is a beautifully crafted book that celebrates the rich history and remarkable diversity of Maine apples. In 2024, No Umbrella partnered with creators, Sean Turley, Cecilia Ziko, and John Bunker to produce a crowdfunding video for Kickstarter that brings the story of the book to life. The video features interviews with Sean and John, offering insight into the making of the guide, along with stunning visuals of the book’s pages and the picturesque orchard where Sean and John spend much of their time. The project was a runaway hit, as the Practical Pomology Kickstarter raised over $45,000 from 567 backers.
